The house is within a very short drive of the Championship Golf Courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas.
All the Golf Courses in the area subscribe to the Slope Index system which means your handicap varies according to the difficulty of the course that you are playing. Handicap certificates are sometimes requested but this is rare. If you want PGA tuition this can be organised.
Within a short drive of the house, the beaches are plentiful and vary from vast expanses of sand to small pebble coves. Many of the safe white sandy beaches are proud to display the prestigious Blue Flag which is awarded by the E.U. for cleanliness and safety. Regardless of your choice of beach you will not be disappointed.
The beaches along the coastline closest to Villamartin are Playa Flamenca, Campoamor, Cabo Roig and La Zenia, the closest beach to the house is Campoamor, this is also one of the most attractive.
During the day you can enjoy the sea and sun along the magnificent beaches, you could even try some of the many water sports available. At night you can enjoy a meal in one of the many excellent restaurants along the seafront.
From the local eateries such as Wolfies which caters for the British with fine Sunday roasts and the inexpensive Shan Hai Chinese which offers a huge choice of oriental dishes with invariably free Cava at the end of the meal to the abundance of restaurants in Villamartin Plaza which despite their continental names are usually British run, food is plentiful and inexpensive.
